Battle of the Ustream Channels. . .

Unless you been under a rock, you know about our YoungStarz and their Ustream pages. So who had the best one? Well let's run through the list.

1. Teyana Taylor - www.ustream.tv/teyanataylor - Teyana usually broadcast live with her friend Yami, who has instantly become a fan favorite! On this show, you never know who might show up. They have been chilling with the like of Emmanuel Lewis, Gucci Mane, and Polow da Don. And those are only the ones in person and doesn't even begin to name the ones on the phone, like Chris Brown and Trey Songz.

2. Soulja Boy - www.ustream.tv/souljaboytellem - Soulja Boy will usually broadcast during his down time. So he is usually in the bed or in his living room. His humor makes the show worth watching. But he did "lite up" on the show, which make him lose a few points, but its Soulja Boy. Can he really do any wrong?

3. BowWow - www.ustream.tv/officialbowwow - BowWow makes our top 3 for one reason, SOULJA BOY!!! Yep Soulja Boy so hot, he makes his friend luke warm! While watching SouljaBoy's channel the other day, Bow called out Soulja Boy for some friendly XBOX Competition. His channel hit all new heights. And honestly you just never know what BowWow will say.

Those are the YoungStarz Top 3. Its almost better than real TV, emphasis on AlMOST. Lord knows I love my Secret Life of an American Teenager (which starts on June 22).

Rocked It and Dropped It

So this is something new. I will take too stars that tried to rock the same gear and let you know who rocked it and who dropped it and why. So up first we have Keke Palmer going head to head with Disney Diva Ashley Tisdale. Keke first rocked this purple dress at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Ashley then wore it to the MTV Movie Awards last night. So, who rocked it and who dropped it?

Nickelodeon should be proud, they finally beat Disney at something!

MTV Movie Awards Fashion Report Card

The MTV Movie Awards took place last night in HollyHOOD! And you know I didn't miss a minute of the red carpet show (partly because it came on doing the commercials of the Hills Finale). So here's the rundown of the YoungStarz!

Lil Mama showed up looking better than usually! I am all about the bright colors and she did a good job making them work! I give it a B, only because its a step up from her usual. But had it been anyone else, would have been a C- maybe D.

I like the way the nail polish matches the shoes! Do u Ma!

Most of the time guys bore me to tears on the red carpet, but I had to do a double take at Soulja Boy. This cardigan is BADD! And with the neon T-shirt under it, FIRE! It would have looked better with less jewelry, but it is Soulja Boy. So i give him a B+.

Mo'Nique, Mo'Nigue, Mo'Nigue! High School Musical's Mo'Nigue Coleman showed up like this at the show. I have no problem with the Afro, but it could have been neater. That dress with those shoes, its a little too matchy matchy, and honestly, just not a great look for her. I give it a D!

And then there was Keke. This girl can do no wrong! Dress, check. Shoes, check. Hair, check. Make-up, check. Accessories, check. Whole damn outfit was BAD. She better work!

Hands down A+. FIRE!!!!

Great Idea #1: BET should pick up the Game

So after a whole ten minutes of thinking, I have game up with a great new idea. BET should pick up the Game. I see it as a win win situation. The Game would get to stay on the air and BET would be watchable. EVERYBODY WINS!!!! Now I need to figure out how one can make that happen.. . . . . I'll let you know.

The Game has been OFFICIALLY Cancelled

It was all I could do not to cry when I heard the news last night. Ok, so I am being a little dramatic. But on the real tip, I am upset that another black sitcom bites the dust! Where are we supposed to go now for our weekly fixes of television humor, BET? Fat chances!!! Countdown begins to the Real Housewives of Atlanta comes back on!

We will miss, Melanie and Derwin's make up to break up routine, Tasha's witty attitude, Malik's man whore ways, Kelly and Jason's cheap asses, and even TT. Bye to the cast of The Game. It was a good run!

Fly like Southwest. . .

Ok, to be so young, Keke Palmer is definitely on her way to becoming a black fashion icon. She showed up to the premier of the new Wayans movie, Dance Flick, in this pink satin dress. Which, by the way, is to fly for words. Loves the entire look.

Rihanna goes 12 times platinum. . .

In case anyone out there was doubting who is currently the hottest chick in the game, I am here to help with that.

The princess of all things fly, Rihanna, just received a special plaque from her record label for going not once, not twice, but twelve times platinum for her self titled album. I know I can't be the only one waiting on the follow up album.

The Game is not cancelled. . . .YET!

Word is running rampant on the net that the CW TV Show "The Game" has been cancelled. Well according to the show's creator and executive producer Mara Brock Akil, That is not the case, yet anyway. She posted on twitter moments ago, the following, "If a television show was cancelled it would come in the form of a press release not a blog. We will let you know the fate of the show."

I know I will be waiting to hear the final word. I love that show. One of the best on TV if you ask me. And I just gotta know what happens with Melanie, Derwin and the baby!!!!!

40th Annual NAACP Image Awards

The Image Awards went down in L.A. on Thursday, February 12, 2009, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the NAACP. And let me tell you, the Youngins brought it.

The Youngest Simmons Sisters, Ming and Aoki, were there to support their dad who received an award.

They took pictures with my girl Jennifer Hudson. . .

And one with their dad, Russell Simmons and cousin, Angela Simmons.

Also Kiely from the Cheetah Girls hit the Red Carpet is this crazy bad purple dress.

YoungStarz take on the Chris Brown/Rihanna Situation. . .

For those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the last week and have missed the incident between Chris Brown and Rihanna, this is not the site for you to get that information.

Right now, most of the information surrounding the case is JUST SPECULATION. What we do know is that Chris Brown was arrested for making threats. He is currently out of jail on a $50,000 bond. If you want to read more about what ALLEGEDLY HAPPENED, I suggest the following sites: www.tmz.com, www.eonline.com, and theybf.com. But as you read, remember none of these sources are 100% truthful. Just like you and me, they were not at the scene of the incident.

I will say this, if you or anyone you know are currently a victim of domestic violence, seek help now. Do not wait for the next time it happens. There are plenty of organizations out there to help people who suffer from Domestic Violence. You don't chose to be a victim, but you do chose to be a survivor!

The First Night as the First Daughters. . .

So what did our favorite new celeb kids do while their parents were away at the Inauguration Balls?


The girls and their friends started the evening by participating in scavenger hunt that took them all around the White House. That was followed up by the girls watching not one, but two Disney Movies in the White House Theatre. They watched, "High School Musical 3" and "Bolt". (If you don't understand how big this is, here's a hint. NEITHER MOVIE IS EVEN ON DVD YET.) And if that were not enough our little princesses, literally, opened a door in the White House to find none other than the Jonas Brothers themselves. How's that for a welcome home present?

Tonight catch BowWow and Keke Palmer at the Kids Inaugural: We Are the Future Event. BowWow is set to perform and Keke will be hosting. Show you support and watch them tonight on the Disney Channel at 8:00 EST/7:00 CST.

These girl are fierce. Am I the only one too excited to see how they grow up in the White House? This is going to be a very entertaining 4 years, if nothing else. ReDefining the WEB!

So, honestly, for the last two days I have been going back and forth in my head over the vision I have for this blog. I have finally came to a decision. The YoungStarz Blog (YSB) will focus on Young Singers, Rappers, Actors, etc. of Color. The ones that may or may not get the coverage they deserve as artists in their fields.

This blog may become very popular, it may not. but at least I covered what I wanted to cover. I am sure if I wrote about the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus all day, I would pick up a lot more readers. But I am willing to put in the dedication needed to make this blog a success and show our Young African Americans that there are people like them on television doing positive things.

I hope readers fall in love with this vision just like I have. I am only 22 years old myself, so I hope to be relatable to the demographic I am wishing to attract. I am new to this!
